Sunday (3/15/15), my mouth was in a happy place… stomach, not so much. We perused Union Market in DC (after our wonderful BBQ experience). If you have not been, you should probably make that happen. I was sampling the balsamics when he came over with a cup of mash and said, “You need to try this.” Since I was in the middle of some yummy tastings at Ah love Oil and Vinegar, he finished his taste and took me to get a new cup… I know, what a gentleman. We continued to sample our way around trying to decide what we didn’t need to buy the most.
We settled on this magnificent wonder… a small $6.00 cup of
Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Pudding at Puddin’… yes that cup of mash I sampled. But it doesn’t end there, you can make this into a sundae with fresh strawberries, nuts, coconut, caramel syrup and whipped cream. We decided to keep it “simple”.
It was so warm and gooey. Couldn’t help but mmmmm out loud in the center of Union Market. Although we both knew our already satisfied stomachs would make us regret it, we cleaned the bowl out to satisfy our taste buds.
Give the friendly woman dishin’ out the Puddin’ at Union Market (or some of their other locations/food truck) a visit! They also have some other items on their tiny menu.
